Headed to LA for the Girls First Time in Blue Heaven - 06/29/2021 (Day 13)

After a long day at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, we took it slow getting out of the hotel in Tulare.  The girls were barely able to get breakfast from the hotel as we were running so late.

We departed around 11:00 a.m. for Los Angeles. The drive is about 3 or so hours to get there from Tulare. We arrived in Bakersfield, California around noon and we're looking for some lunch. We looked online and saw a place called moo creamery with a delicious menu. I had a flight of beers and the PB+B Burger with sweet potato fries with cinnamon marshmallow dipping sauce.  This is the description:  Redhouse grass-fed beef, sharp cheddar, bacon jam, moo-made peanut butter, red pepper-chile jam, potato chips, arugula, and honey chipotle vinaigrette.  It was nothing short of amazing.

Even though we were full, everybody ended up getting ice cream from there.  It might have been the best ice cream I've ever had in my life. I got maple bacon ice cream which had thick cut chunks of bacon in it.  Absolutely delicious!  The strawberry and vanilla ice cream the girls got was great as well.

Oh and the wife got some of the cinnamon marshmallow dipping sauce to go.  It was that damn good.

Back on the road we arrived in Englewood around 3:00 p.m. to check into our Airbnb. It was an absolutely beautiful Airbnb. The girls love that it had a fruit tree out front and a soft hammock outback.

We departed early for the Dodgers game that evening. Traffic is always a mess getting around Los Angeles and I didn't want to take any chances at not making it to Dodger Stadium on time.

Dodger Stadium is absolutely one of the best places to watch a baseball game. I think there is no place more beautiful to watch baseball in the evening than at Dodger Stadium.  The San Francisco Giants were in town and the place was absolutely packed. It was so much fun seeing a sea of blue at the stadium and hearing the playoff like atmosphere in the stands.

The girls got their Dodger Dogs and loved that they were bigger than the bun.  They called it "the dog's tail".

We did a good mix of watching the game, as well as walking around the stadium and checking things out.

I was so happy to bring the girls to their first game in Dodger Stadium.  I have some great memories there and this was just another one of them.  I was in heaven!!!

FINALLY Visiting an Elusive Museum and Coming Home (Day 16)

One of the places I have always wanted to visit was the RV Hall of Fame and Museum in Elkhart, Indiana.  I know it sounds silly, but I have...
